Fitting Your Glowkit
👀 Test & Mockup
Test your kit, ensure everything is working before attempting to install! Try installing the app and connecting to it via Bluetooth. Once you’ve done this, proceed to mock up the strips around the vehicle in the locations you plan on putting them to get an idea of how you’re going to install them. Note: There are 2 front, 2 side and 2 rear strips attached to each kit. The 2 fronts should meet in the middle of the front bumper.
🧽 Clean & Degrease
This step is an important one, so ensure to be thorough. You need to clean & degrease the entire surface area where you are going to be sticking the strips. It’s important to use a cleaner that doesn’t contain any kind of wax. If you don’t have a degreaser, dish soap and warm water works too.
Place The Strips
It’s now time to get the strips in place. for best effect, be sure to look at the directional arrows placed on the inside of the LED strips, and have the strips pointing around the vehicle. Once you’ve attached them using the pre-installed adhesive, secure the ends and middles with the clips provided to ensure they don’t droop / fall down.
🔌 Wire to Vehicle
Now your strips are in place, hide all of your wires away, and choose your connection method. This is left down to you to decide. You can wire it to your 12v battery (Fuse recommended), to an ignition live, or even to a separate battery pack. As long as it receives a 12v feed it will work fine!
